Is Tinnitus Permanent? - If Not How To Get Rid Of It (Success story)
This article is about my own experience of Tinnitus(Ringing /Buzzing sound inside the ears) and how I got rid of it finally.
I don’t know how many of you familiar with the condition “Tinnitus” but the first question of someone who is suffering from “Tinnitus” is “Is Tinnitus permanent?” so I thought I should share my experience or my struggle with Tinnitus with others, to answer that specific question and all the other common questions related to Tinnitus.

I was just stepped into my eighteen when I first heard that intense ringing in my ears, Those days I knew nothing about those Tinnitus noise. when it first appeared I thought something has happened to my ears because initially.
the ringing(Tinnitus) started to hear one of my ears, so I thought definitely, something not right with my ears. I didn’t even know the word Tinnitus. So let me introduce what is Tinnitus first.
What is Tinnitus?
First of all, if you are suffering from that annoying ringing in your ears you should know that ringing (Tinnitus) has nothing to do with your ears, yes you may find a hearing loss when this happens but usually, your ears are just fine,
Most of the time Tinnitus is actually a condition of your brain, However, there is also a chance that Tinnitus might appear due to the damaged hair cells inside your middle ear which connect with the Auditory nerve( The nerve which connects your ear and Auditory cortex of your brain). If Tinnitus lasts more than 6 months it’s identified as chronic Tinnitus.
What are the symptoms of Tinnitus?
Tinnitus is usually described as a ringing or buzzing in the ears, this sound is known as Tinnitus sound or Tinnitus noise there are quite a few of them some may experience ringing while others experience buzzing, roaring, humming, clicking….etc. so those are the common Tinnitus symptoms.
I personally experienced ringing in my ears. some times I felt it very intensely while some other times it wasn't that annoying.

What are the causes of Tinnitus?
well, actually no one can point out an exact reason for Tinnitus there are few common causes of Tinnitus, Age-related hearing loss, middle ear infections( rare case), earwax build-up, otosclerosis( this is also a rare condition where an abnormal bone growth inside the middle ear causes Tinnitus ), blood vessel disorders, some medications, TMJ (Temporomandibular joint) disorders, and some other chronic conditions may cause for Tinnitus.
Therefore it is not an easy task to identify the exact reason for Tinnitus. And also Tinnitus in one ear is also a common condition.
What are the risk factors of Tinnitus?
There are some factors that may enhance or increase Tinnitus if you are someone who regularly exposes you to loud noises that may worsen your condition.
And researches have found that men are more likely to experience Tinnitus than women. And also just like lots of cases use of tobacco and alcohol may worsen Tinnitus furthermore.
Is Tinnitus permanent?
well enough with the boring background stuff of Tinnitus, here on I will explain my personal experience with Tinnitus and at the end, you will have the answer to the above question.
As I mentioned above Tinnitus or this annoying ringing was first appeared in my ears at the beginning of my eighteen. Early days I didn’t care much about it but I felt little by little that ringing inside my ears become intense and the duration became long.
That was the point I first started looking into this, so I did a simple google search as “ how to get rid of ringing in ears” to be honest I didn't expect to get any related result but woohoo! thousand of results appeared on my smartphone screen with the name “Tinnitus”.
So I dug further and search about Tinnitus forums and even on Reddit, but none of them had a common idea about Tinnitus, most of the forums and websites were mentioned that there is no cure for Tinnitus.
So I was shocked for a moment wondering if I would have to spend the rest of my life with Tinnitus, and I just stepped into eighteen, how to spent another 50, 60 years with this annoying sound inside my ears? there was a big question in front of me and I was so desperate.
The biggest fear of mine was seen that at least 8 out of 10 web sites stated that Tinnitus isn’t curable, I immediately got an appointment with an ENT, and I described every symptom that I had the consultant was soo calm, and after few minutes of inspection, he said that he suspects I have chronic Tinnitus and it cannot be cured, further he said that I have to live with it and some times as I get older, it gradually fades away.
I felt like the world was spinning around my head, I sighed inwardly, the world is very developed, we see miracles in the medical sector yet it can't find a solution for that ringing, that was ridiculous. I took a deep breath what should I do next, should I prepare myself to live with Tinnitus, or Should I meet another consultant? another question was in front of me.
I thought Nah I’m not gonna live with this ringing bell inside my head, I’m gonna take it out, I’m gonna defeat the Tinnitus, so I decided to meet another consultant, and he also did some infections and also did some tests as well. I’m not going to describe them further as it makes this article boring.
The consultant told me there is nothing wrong with my ears, however, he prescribed me some medicine, I thought I finally got rid of the bell! So, I took the medicine and here we go after 2 more days that bell appeared inside my head with the same intense annoying sound, nothing had changed!
Since then I struggled with Tinnitus for about another 2 years, Nothing worked for me, I met around dozen consultants from time to time I had to go through different medical tests I felt like a lab rat, they were doing tests while telling me there is no exact medicine for my condition.
And during that time I had a bit of depression as we so just imagine having the feeling of depression and Tinnitus at the same time. I was soo desperate and to be honest with you I even thought of committing suicide. After that, I tried home treatments for tinnitus as well, I saw on a web something called sound treatment for Tinnitus, so I heard those sound clips as well, but unfortunately, I didn’t get any result, So finally I decided to live with Tinnitus, I accepted the defeat.
I didn't feel like I was living, The ringing wasn’t fading out, It was still the same, I tried everything I could within that two years period, But I wasn't fortunate enough to find a solution…..and I still remember that day, It was a Saturday I just came back from my french class and I was on the bed scrolling through the Facebook feed. A saw an advertisement mentioning the word Tinnitus, I clicked the ad spontaneously. It was about an advertisement for Sonus Complete the supplement which helped me to pull the bell out of my head!
What are the signs that indicate Tinnitus is going away?
